New Oak Theatre is accepting director submissions for our 2026-2027 season!

ABOUT NEW OAK THEATRE

New Oak Theatre is dedicated to producing professional theatrical productions in Savannah, Georgia. We seek directors who share our commitment to honest, intimate, and transformative live theatre.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We seek experienced directors with strong artistic vision, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to theatrical storytelling. Our season includes classic dramas, contemporary plays, and musicals.

DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and communicate artistic vision for the production

• Lead rehearsal process with actors

• Collaborate with design team and production staff

• Work within production timeline and budget

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Professional directing resume

• Portfolio or website showcasing previous productions

• Photos/videos from past directed works (if available)

• Director's statement outlining your artistic approach

• References from previous collaborators

COMPENSATION

All directing positions are paid. Compensation varies by production scale and complexity. We are committed to fair compensation for our artistic team.

Productions take place in Savannah, GA
