Non-Equity actors for roles in New Oak Theatre Company’s productions of I Do! I Do! and The Glass Menagerie.

PREPARATION

Please prepare a 32 bar cut and/or a 30 second monologue.

SYNOPSIS

With book and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt, the story follows newlyweds Michael and Agnes starting on their wedding day, and explores their life together over the next 50 years until they finally sell their home to the next pair of newlyweds. During that time, the couple goes through their wedding night jitters, raises a family, negotiates mid-life crises, quarrels, separates, reconciles and grows old together.

SEEKING

Michael: (Male) Any ethnicity. 25 – 40. Baritone. An egotistical writer who very much loves his wife *Plays various ages.

Agnes: (Female) Any ethnicity. 25 – 40. Mezzo-Soprano. Michael's independent yet romantic wife. *Plays various ages.
