New Oak Theatre Announces Inaugural Season

This is it — the moment we've been building toward. New Oak Theatre is proud to announce our inaugural season, featuring two incredible productions that will launch our journey as Savannah's newest professional theatre company.

We invite you to watch this special video message from our Artistic Director, Chase Brackett, as he shares the heart behind our mission, introduces our debut season, and welcomes you into the New Oak family. From the joyful melodies of I DO! I DO! to the poignant beauty of The Glass Menagerie, this season represents the beginning of a lasting home for artists and audiences in Savannah.

Our inaugural season opens with I DO! I DO! — an intimate, two-person musical that follows Michael and Agnes through fifty years of marriage, from wedding day jitters to rediscovered love. With music by Tom Jones and book by Harvey Schmidt, this touching story reminds us what it truly means to grow old with someone. Performances run January 9th through 11th at the Tybee Post Theater.

Then in February, we present Tennessee Williams's The Glass Menagerie — one of the most cherished works in American theatre. This moving memory play paints a vivid portrait of the Wingfield family: Amanda, a mother longing for a brighter past, and her children Tom and Laura, searching for hope and meaning. Through its beauty, tenderness, and timeless truth, The Glass Menagerie continues to touch audiences generation after generation. See it February 27th through March 1st at the Tybee Post Theater.
